1. Who We Are

NavBoat ("we", "us", "our") is a maritime navigation and vessel management application. Our services are accessible at navboat.com and through the NavBoat mobile app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you use NavBoat:

Account information: Name, email address, and password (stored encrypted).
Google Sign-In data: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account identifier from Google to create or access your NavBoat account. We do not receive your Google password, and we request no access to any other Google service or data.
Sign in with Apple data: If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple user identifier, and — on your first sign-in only — your name and email address. If you use Apple's Hide My Email feature, Apple gives us a private relay address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com instead of your real address; we store and use that relay address, and we never receive your real email address. We do not receive your Apple password, and we request no access to any other Apple service or data.
Vessel information: Boat name, type, dimensions, engine details you enter.
Location data: GPS coordinates while the app is in use (voyage tracking). Location is processed on your device; voyage tracks are stored only if you save them.
Voyage & route data: Routes, waypoints, and voyage logs you create.
Maintenance records: Service entries and documents you upload for your vessel.
Provisioning data: Meal plans and kitchen inventory you enter.
Referral code: If you activate a premium subscription via a referral code.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve NavBoat's features.
To display your saved routes, voyages, and vessel data.
To send transactional emails (password reset, account notices) — no marketing emails without consent.
To manage premium subscription status.

4. Location Data

The mobile app requests device location permission to enable real-time navigation and voyage tracking. Location data is used only within the app and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly save a voyage track. We do not track your location in the background.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share data only:

With service providers necessary to operate the app (e.g. map tile providers such as Mapbox).
With Google, only when you choose Google Sign-In, for the purpose of authenticating you. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
With Apple, only when you choose Sign in with Apple, for the purpose of authenticating you. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
If required by law or a lawful government request.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing ozcan@webatolyesi.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Security

Passwords are stored using strong hashing. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

8. Children's Privacy

NavBoat is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at ozcan@webatolyesi.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Gizlilik Politikası — Türkçe Özet

NavBoat olarak topladığımız veriler: hesap bilgisi (ad, e-posta), tekne bilgisi, sefer rotaları ve waypoint'ler, bakım kayıtları ve kumanya planları. Konum verisi yalnızca sefer kaydı oluşturduğunuzda sunucularımıza iletilir; arka planda konum takibi yapılmaz.

Google ile giriş yapmayı seçerseniz Google'dan yalnızca adınızı, e-posta adresinizi ve Google hesap kimliğinizi alırız; Google şifreniz bize iletilmez ve başka hiçbir Google hizmetine erişim istemeyiz.
